Get in the groove for Nightingale House

Dancers of all ages are being urged to get in the groove for a fundraiser with a twist.

Nightingale House Hospice is calling on budding dancers of all abilities to host a dance-a-thon and have some fun while raising money to go towards the provision of specialist palliative care services for those with life-limiting illnesses.

By holding a sponsored dance challenge with your gym class, dance club or fitness group you can be a huge part of making a difference to someone’s life when they really need it most.

Last year, Janis Clamp organised a two-hour zumbathon at the fabulous Stiwt Theatre in Rhos, who kindly donated their venue.

She said: “As usual everyone brought their energy, fun and laughter with them and we had an absolute blast, whilst raising money for our amazing hospice and all the equally amazing staff.”

Nightingale House Hospice Community Fundraiser Charlotte Brown said: “Amazing community efforts like this keep our hospice going and allow us to continue our work in the way that we do.

“Janis’s fabulous Zumba group raised over £650! Could you do something similar?

“Whether it’s a community dance group, zumbathon, line dancing class, playgroup, timed challenge, or something completely different, you can really help us to make a difference.

“You can hold your event any time from now until end of November and it’s £5 per person to take part, with additional sponsorship forms provided for all.

“We’ll also provide you with a ‘how-to’ dance-a-thon document and hospice T-shirts for all dance/fitness instructors, plus we’re even offering a hamper prize for the best dressed group!

“So, be sure to send us some fabulous photos of your event, so that we can really celebrate your fundraising.”
