The Alps – the trek has begun!

Our group of intrepid trekkers set off for Geneva on Wednesday, 11th September. They’ll be trekking 43km of the famous ‘Tour Du Mont Blanc’ to raise money for Nightingale House Hospice.

The weather had been cold with showers, but that was nothing to put our incredible trekkers off as they steadily climbed through the mountain forests.

We are so grateful to them all for their hard work and dedication, both in their training and in their fundraising. They’ve been amazing!

And it’s not too late to support them! See their fundraising pages here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/nhhthealpstrek2024

Wrexham Gold Club Raise over £7,000

Wrexham Golf Club have raised an incredible £7,733.95 from their successful Golf Day. This is an amazing amount to raise, it will make such a positive difference to the hospice.

Also, a special thanks to everyone who organized the event! We simply couldn’t do what we do without the amazing support of our wonderful community.

The Reed Foundation have donated £10,000 to Nightingale House

The Reed Foundation are very generously donating £10,000 every week, for a year, to support 52 different charities, chosen by its employees. This means that by April 2025, they will have donated a whopping £520,000! Every week, a Reed employee is drawn randomly to nominate a charity of their choice to receive the donation. This time around, it was Emma Francis who very kindly opted to support Nightingale House.

Emma said: ”Nightingale House Hospice is very close to my heart. Both my Dad and Mother-in-law were patients there, and the care they received, alongside the support the staff provided to us as a family, is nothing short of amazing.”

They’ll be showing off their moves at Carden Park and the Strictly Nightingales Showcase at the Stiwt, performing a special routine that symbolises how every department at Nightingale House works together to deliver the best care for our patients.
