Hospice hero Alfie steps up to the challenge

Little hospice hero Alfie, aged six, has raised an incredible £331 for Nightingale House Hospice services.

Alfie decided to walk up and down Moel Famau, all in support of a group of daredevils who are completing our skydive in a couple of weeks.

He said he wanted to do something which supported the jumpers, and the patients which we look after at the hospice.

Jackie, Alfie’s mum, who is the Family Support Lead at Nightingale House, said: “When Alfie heard about my work colleagues completing their skydive challenge, he remembered me doing the same a few years ago and insists he will be doing it himself in the future!

“We are so proud of his achievement and the way he cares about helping people who need the support of Nightingale House. He is an incredible little boy and whenever he hears about people in difficult situations he always wants to help.”

Jackie added: “He is so shocked and pleased with the amount that he has raised and keeps asking when we can do it again. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored Alfie.”
