Nightingale House Hospice ‘humbled’ by support of local businesses
A Wrexham hospice says it is “truly touched and humbled” by support from local businesses amid the coronavirus crisis.
Nightingale House Hospice, which provides free palliative care services, has received donations from several local businesses to help the hospice continue to support its patients.
It has received Easter eggs and orchids from Quality Discounts in Wrexham town centre, bread and eggs from Morrisons and the Village Bakery, potatoes from The Trawler Fish Bar, in Johnstown and cereal bars from NINE.
Nightingale House said: “Many of our supporters have overcome very difficult times in their lives. During those times, we need each other more than ever.
“Sometimes just knowing somebody is there for you is enough to get you through a time of distress.
“Our community has pulled together before and they are pulling together again to help our patients and staff during such a challenging time.
“We have been truly touched and humbled by the amazing acts of kindness and support of our hospice.”
